How we got started
A few years ago, my husband and I started running BuzzTCG, his passion project selling trading cards to fellow enthusiasts. To add a personal touch, I’d sketch fun, lighthearted doodles on the packages before they shipped out.
What started as a simple way to brighten someone’s day quickly turned into something magical. Those little drawings — of quirky characters, playful animals, and uplifting messages — brought smiles to our customers and made each delivery feel like a gift from a friend.
“Can I Get a Doodle?!”
As the feedback poured in, I was truly touched. Customers began reaching out, sharing how much they loved the doodles and how they made unboxing their trading cards even more exciting. “Can I get a doodle on my next order?” they’d ask, or “These are too cute—do you sell them separately?”
The compliments warmed my heart and sparked an idea. Drawing had always been my happy place, a creative outlet that let me spread positivity in a busy world. Seeing how these simple sketches connected with people reminded me of the power of art to foster community and bring a little extra cheer into everyday life.
A Bright Future Ahead
After countless requests and a whole lot of encouragement from our BuzzTCG family, my husband and I decided it was time to turn this side hobby into something bigger. We dreamed up Heidoodles.com as a place where anyone could bring my doodles home in fun, wearable, and usable ways.
It was a leap of faith, but one fueled by the genuine excitement we’d seen from our customers. Launching the site felt like sharing a piece of our home with the world: simple, heartfelt, and full of good vibes.
